Studio Babick is an industrial design consultancy and maker of exclusive, hand-crafted objects. The studio was founded by Tod Babick, an accomplished designer, artist and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience bringing successful products to market. Objects are informed by biophilia—our innate connection to the natural environment—and every project is underpinned by a desire to reveal the structures, patterns, rhythms and colors of nature that have nourished and inspired people throughout human history.
Studio Babick's portfolio spans office and residential furniture, kitchen and bath furnishings and fittings, giftware, tabletop products, color and material programs, hospitality spaces, and jewelry and home adornments. Babick received the patent for Kohler's Smart Divide sinks, was a founding member of Izzydesign, and launched Pieter VanTuyl, a collection of limited-series, hand-crafted furniture and objects.

Sakura celebrates the ephemeral beauty of cherry blossoms.
A blossom-like basin emerges seamlessly from a slab of Papiro Gold marble, balanced by a smaller leaf-shaped pocket to cradle daily treasures. Designed by Tod Babick of Studio Babick.

Inspired by coastal tide pools
Miniature universes formed in rocky coastal crevices.
The Tidal Console was inspired by the miniature, self-contained universes formed in rocky coastal crevices. The larger basin emerges from a generous slab of sensuous Noce basalt and is balanced by a smaller "pool" carved to hold essentials. Co-designed with Tod Babick.

Inspired by Japanese ceramic tea bowls
Golden Bronze
Stone Forest collaborated with designer Tod Babick. Here is what he had to say:
The aesthetic of this sink was inspired directly by Japanese ceramic tea vessels and indirectly by fractured stone formations. The irregular, imperfect form and surfaces of the piece, as well as the variations within the patina, are in alignment with the Japanese aesthetic philosophy of wabi-sabi, which embraces that which is naturally imperfect, irregular, weathered, and unadorned. Producing the piece using traditional sand-casting enhances the vessel with another layer of variability. Some finishing marks, minor pitting, and small color anomalies are the distinguishing traits of our handcrafted bronze sinks.
Inspired by Japanese ceramic tea bowls
Desert Cream Limestone
Designer Tod Babick of Studio Babick collaborated with Stone Forest to design this carved vessel sink from blocks of rich, sensual limestone, each sink will have traces of ancient fossils from millions of years ago. The exterior pattern is created with diamond-pointed tooling, while the interior basin is brought to a lustrous finish with hand polishing.

Designer Tod Babick of Studio Babick collaborated with Stone Forest to create FACET. The ancient Greek Doric architectural order served as Tod's initial inspiration for these sensuous fittings. "My intention was to bring to the collection some of the richness of traditional ornament, which has always been based on nature. 'Coin' knurling was incorporated to maintain a family relationship with Elemental."
Elemental™ is a collection of brass legs with knurled fittings supporting any combination of stone, wood, and steel components. This unique modular concept allows you to combine integral stone sinks, wood drawers, and steel or wood shelving in unlimited combinations. Brass legs and fittings are available in aged brass, matte black, polished nickel, or graphite.
